Born in Tehran, raised in Hamburg, based in London and frequent traveller to New York City and other places - I am a fortunate one that learned diversity of knowledge, heritage, language and culture early on. Born with a natural curiosity, I got to experience and value people differing on all demographic parameters. And I deepen this experience with every new trip that I take as a travelling Psychologist/Reiki Healer and have travelled over 20 countries in the world already, many more I had the pleasure to get to know better through professinal collaboration (online). My path was surely not a usual or simple one, but embracing the complexity of it made me see various angles on the subject of Wellbeing.
Speaking 3 languages fluently made it much easier to experience collectivist and individualist cultures worldwide which both provide precious insights on this subject.
It was early in my adolescence when I realised that I enjoyed working with people and on matters related to their soul or spirit.
It was in 2015 when I was awarded my Psychology degree at one of the top four German universities in the field of Psychology still offering the original Psychology degree in Germany at that time that was one of the reasons why Germany historically received its global acedemic reputation for comprehensive and quality education.
My studies included both majors Clinical Psychology and Educational Psychology, as well as Occupational, General, Social and Perceptual Psychology, Psychology of Development, Health and Sleep, Quantitative Methods and Statistics, Diagnostics and Interventions, Evaluation and Research Methods and Intercultural Education.
I completed my required internships in the Psychiatrie in Rickling, Germany, and the biggest hospital in Hamburg (Universitätsklinikum Hamburg-Eppendorf) and my university employed me within their own research facility as part of their Online-Self-Assessment (OSA) project.
I moved back to my home town Hamburg in 2015 when the big regugee wave hit Germany to work in youth welfare for the next 4 years.
This turned out to be the most intense and incomparably rewarding years of my professional career and required usage of everything that I had learned at university but also in my life as a former refugee myself.
It was challenging and educational to say the least and the contributions that I could make to help refugees, their children and whole families were truly life-changing.
From my first day in this field, I was assigned high-profile and least accessibility cases only and clients were coming from countries of all continents with different psychological needs and challenges.
In 2017 my career in Germany came to another peak when I was invited as a keynote speaker to major conferences in the far north and far south of Germany on the subject of how efficient and appropriate support of and social work with bilingual clients looked like and what challenges bilingual professionals faced.
The very same year my collaboration with the international company Forever Living Products began whose Clean 9 Program helped me and my network with various health-related matters. I led multiple groups to complete the Forever Clean 9 program and I myself lost over 22kg (or 50lbs) in body weight which was only one of the health benefits that I had.
I use some of the products on animals as well who I started to work with at that time (mainly dogs).
When I moved to England end of 2018, I deepened my work with animals and entered the corporate world at the same time to get yet another new perspective on the field of Wellbeing.
Until August 2023 I got to work on global employee benefits plans & wellbeing programs for major, multinational pharmaceutical, food and beverage and tech companies. The collaboration with global partners in over 40 countries, design, implementation and management of wellbeing programs for multiple entities worldwide gave me opportunity to strengthen a much different kind of skillset. I kept working with people, but I learned to do this online from many time zones away.
Wellbeing has a different dynamic in this field and especially during those years (which covered the time before, while and after the Covid-19 pandemic) expectations towards employers supporting employee wellbeing rose significantly. Organising ideas around this subject and tackling it from a strategic perspective were essential and stimulating parts of my work.
While still based in London during those years, I travelled back and forth to Germany to complete my training program as a tainer for Compassionate Communication/Nonviolent Comunication (Hamburger Institut für Gewaltfreie Kommunikation) as well as a
Master in Reiki Healing (Academy of Healing, Hamburg) which consists of an extended 12-step program including the Usui content and additional units on related spiritual healing techniques.
Spirituality was always an important part of my life without me even realising in early years. It is since my move to London that I intensified my relationship to the spiritual world and used Reiki techniques in my work with people.
In 2023 I founded Zohalogy, which allows me to work flexibly in this field: this means I work with humans or animals, individuals or an audience, in person or online.
The combination of Psychology and Reiki Healing is not only an interesting one - in my opinion healing the soul cannot be done disregarding the spiritual part of an individual. The current trend is going towards psychologists and therapists gaining additional knowledge and receiving taining on spiritual healing. But it is not yet a standard practice. Choosing Zohalogy means not to limit yourself to one or the other. You will have the full variety of support for your own path and authentic journey.
